Knit Moss Stitch Headband With a Twist – Free Pattern
January 17, 2022/
This Knit Moss Stitch Headband with a twist is such a fun little project. It’s small and works up quickly – I had this one done – and filmed in less than 12 hours. Plus, the yarn is so soft and plush. This free pattern is available below.
How This Project Came to Be
With the beginning of a new year, and like many others, I have sat down to review my last year’s goals and set new ones for this year. Most of these are reasonable and attainable. However, some of them will certainly make me push myself.
Perhaps I’m being naive or unrealistic, but one of these goals is to have one finished object a week. Now, I haven’t set a specific size of the project that must be finished. At least I have not committed myself to knitting a sweater in each week of the year. That just wouldn’t work for me.
The first week of January, I finished a baby blanket. For this past week, I was hoping to finish a crocheted blanket that was started in 2021. Unfortunately, my hands and wrists were not on board with this idea. Cramping and fatigue set in and I quickly had to pivot to a new idea.
Looking for a small project, I settled on this quick knit moss stitch headband with a twist. Made out of Bernat Baby Crushed Velvet yarn, this thing is soft, thick and most importantly warm and cozy.
So, I cast on my 21 stitches and got to work.
See? And, it was finished just in time as we have had a major snowfall over the course of today. What do you think?
